A special investigation into the arrival of a ship carrying urea fertilizer at the Port of Colombo

The Sri Lanka Customs states that a special investigation has been launched into the arrival of a ship carrying a consignment of urea fertilizer from Indonesia to the Port of Colombo against the backdrop of a ban on the importation of chemical fertilizers into the country.

Accordingly, special attention will be paid to whether the consignments were shipped before or after the ban on chemical fertilizers in the country, the Customs spokesman added.
