A Strategic Plan to Promote the Use of Electric Vehicles in Sri Lanka

The Cabinet approved a proposal made by the Minister of Environment to formulate a strategic plan to promote the use of electric vehicles in Sri Lanka.

According to research conducted by the University of Moratuwa and several other institutes, it has been confirmed that vehicles contribute 60% of the air pollution in Sri Lanka.
