Azuz Air to launch direct flights between Russia and Colombo

Azuz Air will launch direct flights between Russia and Colombo, Sri Lanka from November 1, 2023.

Azur Air, formerly Katekavia and stylised as azurair, is a charter airline and former regional airline in Russia. Initially it was based in Krasnoyarsk Cheremshanka Airport, the domestic airport serving Krasnoyarsk, and its destinations were all within Krasnoyarsk Krai.

The airline will have daily connectivity between the two countries which will help to boost Russian arrivals. The government has already granted a free visa on arrival to Russia along with six other countries.
