Baby, university student die of dengue in Jaffna

An eleven-month-old child died on Monday (25) in Jaffna due to dengue.

A student of Jaffna University also died of dengue on December 24. During the month of December, 945 dengue cases were reported from Jaffna and 40 dengue cases were reported on Monday alone, Dr. Sathyamurthi, Director of Jaffna Teaching Hospital said.

The National Dengue Control Unit of the Health Ministry said that the risk of dengue has increased in Jaffna.
