Bakery owners reduce loaf of bread by Rs. 10

The price of a 450g loaf of bread has been reduced by Rs.10 with from midnight yesterday (26) by the All-Ceylon Bakery Owners’ Association owing to the recent reduction of electricity and gas prices.

The Association requested all retail and bakery owners to provide the benefit of reduced gas and electricity prices, by reducing the retail price of a 450g loaf of bread by Rs.10 from today itself. Meanwhile customers stressed

that this price reduction should be applicable for every bakery product promptly since the prices of almost all bakery products go up in general in line with the hike of fuel, gas, electricity or wheat flour prices.
