Book on Professor Malalasekera to be launched on Saturday

A book on Professor Gunapala Malalasekera will be launched to coincide with his 125th birth anniversary.

An event marking the launch of the book ‘Professor Gunapala Malalasekera: A Photographic Portrait’, authored by Ven. Wetara Mahinda Thera, will take place at the Auditorium of the National Archives on Saturday (9), from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

This occasion will also commemorate the 125th birth anniversary of the late Professor Gunapala Malalasekera, celebrating the life and contributions of one of the nation’s scholars.

Attendees can look forward to a programme that honours Professor Malalasekera’s enduring legacy in academia and his significant impact on Sri Lankan society.
