Brisca, a well-established BPO Company serving business enterprises in Australia and New Zealand in streamlining their financial, accounting, and taxation functions, recognized the commitment and dedication of its staff by presenting them with awards of appreciation at the Lotus Hall of the BMICH, recently.
Several categories under which the performance of the staff during the year 2023 had been assessed and the citations addressed to each category showed what a lot of fine sieving has gone into selecting the recipients of the awards.
Young accounting professionals who had fared well at the accounting training courses conducted by Brisca Education, the educational arm of Brisca, in Job-Ready Training in Accounting and Book Keeping and Taxation and Job-Enhancement Training in Microsoft Power BI were also awarded certifies.
These training courses are aimed at training young Sri Lankan talents in acquiring an expert knowledge of the accounting, taxation and financial reporting systems practiced in Australia and New Zealand and hands on experience in the use of cloud software in performing various related functions.
At the completion of the courses, one is made competent in the chosen field and ready to fill the vast number of job opportunities available in Australia and New Zealand as an expatriate or in the fast-growing BPO industry in Sri Lanka.
Candidates, who tipped the scales at the zenith of the final assessment, were presented with medals of recognition.
The event was attended, with the staff of Brisca and the alumni of Brisca Education and several members from Australia, New Zealand, USA, Oman and India made their virtual participation via Zoom.
Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka Vice President Tishan Subasinghe, was the chief guest while Prof. Pavithra Madhuwanthi from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura was the guest of honor all gave inspiring speeches while Sumith Dissanayake and Olu Jayasooriya representing the Board of Directors of Brisca and Prageeth Pathirana, the Chief Executive Officer of Brisca Education also addressed the event.
