He said that it is 90 percent of the target amount set and mentioned that the revenue target will be achieved in the near future.

He also said that Customs collects 50 percent of the tax revenue for the Government. He also said that if the revenue target is achieved this time, it will be the highest percentage of tax revenue collected in the history of customs.

The Customs Media Spokesman also said that due to the discovery of the importation of luxury vehicles without informing the customs, steps have been taken to introduce a motor vehicle verification system and explained that when you access the customs website and enter the chassis number related to a vehicle it confirms immediately whether the said vehicle was imported legally or not.

He also said that a person will be able to enter the system and inspect the vehicle from wherever he is in the world, in the future and mentioned that the capability is there to confirm whether the vehicle a person is going to buy has been assembled illegally or imported, by accessing this system. He also said that this will prevent fear among people when buying a vehicle, due to receiving information that it is illegally imported. He also said that a special data system has been established to facilitate the exporters and he said that a new tracking system application has been prepared, so that the location of a container being imported can be found from anywhere in the world.

The Spokesman said that this data system has been prepared, so that the importer can find out the location of the container after entering the data of the container he is importing, on the website of the customs. He mentioned that solutions have also been given to the congestion caused by customs clearance. He said this while attending a special media conference held at the Customs Headquarters on Thursday (5).
