D.S. Senanayake ‘A’ into semi final

D. S. Senanayake College Colombo ‘A’ advanced to the semi final of the Under 13 division 1 inter schools cricket tournament conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association with the sponsorship by Sri Lanka Cricket on Saturday.

D. S. Senanayake College Colombo ‘A’ won on first inning against last year joint champion St. Peter’s College Bambalapitiya ‘A’ in the quarter final played at Lyceum International School ground Panadura.

D. S. Senanayake College Colombo ‘A’ will meet Dharmaraja College Kandy ‘A’ in the semi final next week. Royal College Colombo ‘A’ advanced to the semi final. Richmond College Galle ‘A’ will meet De Mazenod College Kandana ‘A’ in the quarter final tomorrow (16) at Ananda Sastralaya ground Beddagana.

Miyuru Bandara right hand opener and deputy skipper of D.S. Senanayake College ‘A’ Colombo made 65 runs against St. Peter’s College ‘A’ Bambalapitiya in the quarter final.

Miyuru Bandara scored 553 runs with 3 centuries and 2 half centuries in 10 matches so far. He scored centuries against St. Thomas’ Preparatory School Colombo, St. John’s College Nugegoda and Lyceum International School Wattala. Also he claimed 24 wickets.
