For the first time in history, Stock Market crosses 15,000-point mark

In a landmark achievement for the Sri Lankan stock market, the All Share Price Index (ASPI) of the Colombo Stock Exchange exceeded 15,000 units at 10:24 a.m. today (24th).

By 11:15 a.m., the index had advanced by 212 points to reach 15,022.77, with a recorded turnover exceeding Rs. 3.84 billion.
