The upcoming Dialog ‘A’ Division League Rugby Tournament is set to commence with an exciting series of matches. Havelocks Sports Club, spearheaded by former Royal College hooker Azmir Fajudeen, will open the tournament against Sri Lanka Air Force led by lock forward Parakrama Ratnayake. The showdown will take place at Havelock Park on December 1.
The action continues the next day with Clifford Cup runners-up Navy, captained by former Kingswoodian and full back Thilina Weerasinghe, taking on the Sri Lanka Police team led by Mohan Wimalaratne.
On the same day, Clifford Cup champions CR and FC, led by third-row forward Soyuru Anthony, will clash against the Sri Lanka Army team led by fly half Ashan Bandara at the Army grounds in Panagoda.
Sunday, December 3, will witness a fierce battle as Kandy Sports Club, the defending champions, will showcase their prowess on home turf at Nittawela. Led by centre Lavanga Perera, Kandy SC will face off against CH and FC captained by Avantha Lee.
