Hemas Hospitals will invest Rs 700 million in a state of the art cardiac facility at Wattala and invest Rs 7-8 billion in increasing its bed capacity, Hemas Hospitals Managing Director Dr. Lakith Peiris told the 15 year anniversary celebration press event held in Colombo.
Dr. Peiris said in the next five years they plan to expand through acquisitions, additions and diversifications to cardiology, oncology and neurology areas.
Hemas also plans to introduce Sri Lanka’s first ever ambulatory surgical care centre in partnership with Alexandra Hospital of Singapore. He said they also provide special concessions to Public Servants and Agrahara policyholders.
The hospital also has reached the important landmarks of becoming the first Sri Lankan hospital to implement Electronic Health Records (HER) and becoming the first internationally –accredited Sri Lankan hospital chain obtaining the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards International (ACHSI) accreditation.
