The Minister of Buddhist Affairs, Religious and Cultural Affairs, National Integration, Social Security, Media, Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation, Public Security, and Foreign Affairs highlighted the importance of establishing a robust logistics eco system. This was expressed by his secretary K.D.S.Ruwanchandra (PICTURED) at the “CILT Sri Lanka International Conference 2024”held at Colombo yesterday.
The Conference focused on the theme “Transforming Supply Chains: Building Resilient Ecosystems for the Future.” The speaker highlighted the critical role of logistics and transport in the nation’s economic growth and the necessity for Sri Lanka to adapt to global shifts by fortifying supply chains and integrating advanced technologies.
The expertise of the members of the CILT was acknowledged as vital in shaping policies that will propel the country forward in the logistics sector. Establishing a resilient and future ready logistics ecosystem is essential not only for national growth but also for positioning Sri Lanka as the premier logistics hub in the South Asian region. “As we aspire to become a critical and a central player in regional trade, it is imperative that we focus on fortifying our supply chains, adapting cutting edge technologies and fabricating sustainable practices to support these goals.”
