Inter-provincial public transport services for essential services from today

With the easing of travel restrictions, inter-provincial public transport services for those traveling between the provinces for essential services will commence with restrictions from today (14).

The Railway Department stated that 14 inter-provincial long-distance trains have been deployed.

Meanwhile, the Sri Lanka Transport Board has taken steps to operate around 500 inter-provincial long-distance buses from today for those traveling between provinces for essential services.

In addition, the luxury bus service in Colombo, which was introduced to those arriving in private vehicles, will be reactivated from today.
