Lasantha Alagiyawanna – “The maximum retail price for gas was set by district for the safety of the consumer”.

State Minister of Consumer Protection Lasantha Alagiyawanna states that a gazette notification has been issued to set a maximum retail price at the district level for the sale of an 18-liter domestic gas cylinder.

The Minister of State further stated that as gas is transported from Colombo, it is not possible to supply it to Colombo at other prices.
