Man arrested for posting fake photo on social media.

A person has been arrested for posting a fake photo on social media claiming that the bodies of those who died due to Covid infection at the Kalubowila Hospital have been left in various places.

It has been revealed that the photographs have been released on social media by forging photographs of a foreign country and stating, “Aren’t there any help for us as the corpses have started piling up?”

The suspect was produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court yesterday (23) and released on Rs. 100,000 bails and ordered to return to court on December 16.
