Meeting between the Minister of Finance and former Provincial Councilors

A meeting between Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa and former provincial councilors was held at Temple Trees yesterday (11).

It is reported that the Minister of Finance has pointed out that at a time when the country is facing an economic challenge, the revenue received from the main sources of income such as the Customs, the Excise Department, and the Inland Revenue Department have decreased.

The Minister of Finance Basil Rajapaksa has further stated that the corona epidemic situation facing every country in the world is the main reason for this and that we should act fearlessly to face it.
