Adding a new high FOREX gaining product to Sri Lanka export basket and also taking Sri Lanka into a new dimension of world beauty culture, Salon Kaveesha International (Pvt) Ltd has commenced export of hair extension products including natural hair wigs to the world including Europe and Gulf using finest human hair.

Owner, CEO, Dr. Kaveesha Bethamage first opened Saloon Kaveesha in 2021, dedicated to providing top-tier services and later specialized in hair extensions, hair-to-hair transplants, Innovative hair products made from human hair. Her professionalism and innovation caught up among Sri Lankans and expatriates and through their success stories foreigners too started to visit Saloon Kaveesha. “We then expanded our services to a four storeyed building in Sri Mahinda Darma Road Dematagoda and started manufacturing our own products. In a bid to support growth and expansion and plans to move overseas we recently transited to a limited liability company (LLC).

“Today our services, product range and exports include extending hair, (Micro Ring, Nano Ring, 6D, Keratin Bond, Feather Tip, Ice Glu and Deep Curly Hair Extensions ) grow and transplant hair.

“We commenced export of high-quality innovative hair products that include, Hair Toppers, Clipping, Wiglet, V- part Clipping, Slide Clipping and Top Clipping Extensions. In addition we also export Hair Wigs, Side Clipping and U clipping Extensions to international markets making a silent contribution to Sri Lanka’s economic growth.

“We are now increasing our exports and will be investing around Rs. 40 million to build our new factory next year which will include locally made or value added comprehensive beauty solutions bringing our employee strength to over 400.

“Due to lack of modern technology in this field in Sri Lanka we import premium human hair as raw material for our manufacturing and assembling innovative solutions for hair loss and there are many locals and experts who come to visit us to seek our services. There are also some tourists who only visit us for this purpose. Due to ethical reasons we do not purchase hair locally. She also disclosed that for the first time they will be using AI technology to perform some of these services to foreigners online from next month.

“We are currently developing and enhancing an e-commerce platform to improve accessibility to woo more foreigners to patronize us. Salon Kaveesha efforts also did not go unnoticed as they have been honoured with numerous prestigious awards like, the Presidential Award for Excellent Performance in the Asian region (Platinum), Golden Honorary Charity Knight as Dame and Dr. Kaveesha Lakshani Bethmage Kala Kirthi Abimani Top 100 Award.

The prime international award from this is being selected winner of the 15th APHCA Hair Olympic International Award. In a bid to give back something to socialites they also engage in a series of CSR initiatives that include annually donating hair extensions to cancer patients and underprivileged individuals to boost their confidence and self-esteem.
