Only close relatives can travel between provinces for weddings and funerals

Police Media Spokesman, Senior DIG Ajith Rohana states that there is no possibility of violating provincial boundaries for weddings and funerals except on special occasions.

The Police Media Spokesman further stated that relaxation will be made only for the funeral of a close relative after confirmation by the relevant documents and that only if the bride and groom are in two provinces at a wedding will one party be able to travel to the other province.
