Around 30 people have been killed in renewed Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip, Palestinian media reported on Sunday.
Israeli fighter planes attacked a former school building in the al-Daraj quarter in Gaza City, where displaced people were sheltering, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.
At least eight people died in the attack, WAFA said.
The Israeli military said it had conducted “a precise strike on Hamas terrorists who were operating inside a command and control centre in the area of Daraj Tuffah.” The strike had occurred overnight, it said.
WAFA also reported a targeted air attack on a vehicle in Gaza City in which four Palestinians were killed.
A further 16 people had been killed in attacks in the centre and in the South of the Gaza Strip, it said. (DPA)
