Permission to the Co-operative to import dhal and sugar

Cabinet approval has been granted to take steps to import red dhal and white sugar directly through the cooperative movement and sell them through Lanka Sathosa and the cooperative.

The decision was taken by the Ministry of Trade as red dhal and white sugar are being sold at high prices in the local market.
