President says what should be done by those who are protesting against education reforms

The President points out that those who are agitating against education reforms should present a modern education system and not advocate for political motives.

The President made this observation at the launch of the official website www.cu.ac.lk pertaining to the City University program included in the “Vision of Prosperity” policy statement held at the Presidential Secretariat this morning (15).

Accordingly, with the new technology, city universities are planned to be established in all districts of the country with the aim of producing talented graduates, targeting the job market.

The city University program aims to offer talented students who have passed the Advanced Level but are not financially strong enough to enter the job market.
