Rain disrupts Bangladesh ‘A’ vs Pakistan ‘B’ replay

Rain disrupted the replay of the Lawyers World Cup match between Bangladesh A and Pakistan B at the Army Artillery ground at Panagoda on Monday (01).

The game was initially scheduled to be played at the LRDC ground in Nawala on Sunday but had to be abandoned due to damp ground conditions and a replay was arranged for yesterday.

Being invited to bat first Pakistan B were 135/7 with two more overs to go when rain disrupted play. Azad Ur Rasheed Abbasi was unbeaten on 53 off 29 balls with four boundaries and four sixes. Shuvo Kazl had figures of 7-2-11-4.

The match was reduced to 33 overs and Bangladesh ‘A’ were set a target of 143 runs but as there was no improvement in the ground conditions the match was called off at 3:55pm. Both teams will share a point each.

The Lawyers Cricket World Cup will continue today.
