State Minister of Finance Shehan Semasinghe says that the government is not ready to take any risky decision which will have a negative impact on the economy .
The minister points out that present reforms carried out by the government are reforms that should have been done two or three decades ago. Semasinghe also said that the government understands the painful experiences people had to face and is in the process of resolving the crisis. The State Minister made these observations attending the North Central Province Outstanding Entrepreneurs Awards Night.
Semasinghe pointed out that the crisis hit economy is emerging and all have the responsibility to maintain the steadfast recovery including policy makers.
The minister said that countries such as India and South Korea have become economically powerful after the support extended by the IMF and Sri Lanka also will have a strong economy with the reforms carried out.
