Showers expected over most parts of Island

The low-level atmospheric disturbance over the island still persists, stated the Meteorology Department.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at times over most parts of the island.

Heavy showers above 100 mm are likely at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern, Northern, North-Western, North-central and Eastern provinces.

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
