Specialist Dr. Prasanna Gunasena – Reports that a vaccine imported from India contains AIDS components are false

Specialist Dr. Prasanna Gunasena, the Chairman of the National Pharmaceutical Corporation says that the reports published that a vaccine imported from India contains AIDS components are completely false.

He said that this was not an incident related to the covid vaccination and that this was an incident that took place some time ago.

Specialist Dr. Prasanna Gunasena further stated that the importation of a drug imported by a certain company on suspicion of having AIDS components was stopped by the Drug Regulatory Authority and an investigation was carried out and permission was granted to re-import it.
