The Central Bank has announced that a requirement of 100% cash deposit (in US dollars) has been imposed on the importation of 623 non-essential goods imported to Sri Lanka.

This includes 623 items, including mobile phones, televisions, watches, refrigerators, rubber tires, fruit, air conditioners, beverages, and cosmetics.
