The GMOA has expressed dissatisfaction with the use of the Quarantine Act to control protesters.

The Government Medical Officers’ Association states that the Quarantine Act cannot be implemented on the basis of individuals or political groups.

He further stated that the Director-General of Health Services has given the powers of the Quarantine Act to the institutions including the police to implement it uniformly and he strongly objected to the use of the Quarantine Act to control the protesters.
