The increase in the nuSpecialist Dr. Lal Panapitiya – “The increase in the number of Covid infections is difficult for the hospital system”

The Deputy Director-General of Medical Services of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Lal Panapitiya states that the hospital system has found it difficult to cope with the increase in the number of Covid infections.

Accordingly, 9 wards were provided for Covid patients at the Colombo National Hospital yesterday (03) and covid infected patients are still staying at 13 wards at the Ragama Hospital.

Specialist Dr. Lal Panapitiya further stated that the maximum possible treatment is being carried out for the patients.
