Trade union leaders still protest

A protest has been held in front of the Presidential Secretariat today against the repression of trade unions. Alleging that the government is repressing the trade unions.

Speaking to the media Wasantha Samarasinghe of the JVP stated that the trade union leaders who have been quarantined should be released immediately.

A memorandum containing demands was also handed over to the officials of the Presidential Secretariat to be handed over to the President.
