Welgama leave from SJB expecting to form brand new party

I will be forming a new political party similar to Sri Lanka Freedom Party upon the lifting of travel restrictions (Mr. Kumara Welgama). The MP made this observation speaking to reporters after joining an alm giving to a children’s home on the occasion of former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga’s birthday in Colombo today (29).

Mr. Kumara Welgama said revealing that the discussion on forming a new party is already underway, and he added that he contested the election through Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) as a coalition party.

And also he added that he is always a SLFPer, pointing out that Bandaranaike’s policy would be carried forward in forming a similar political movement.

The MP also revealed that he will be the party’s leader.
