Working points for those who share pornographic videos on Facebook and WhatsApp groups.

Police Media Spokesman, Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police, Attorney-at-Law Ajith Rohana states that it has been identified that women are also being trafficked for sex using social media and messaging services (WhatsApp).

The police spokesman said that in addition to websites selling women, there was an increase in the exchange of nude photos, pornographic videos, and blue films on social networking pages including Facebook, accounts, groups, and WhatsApp groups.

The Police Media Spokesman further stated that the Police Computer Crimes Unit, the Police Criminal Investigation Department (CID), and the Children and Women’s Bureau are conducting further investigations into the incident.
